This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Calculators are an essential part of a student's success in 6th grade math.

New calculators will allow my students to complete their math assignments without having to deal with calculators with holes, buttons that don't always work, or ones that change modes without my student doing it.

We unfortunately are having issues with many of the calculators at the school as they are getting older. I need my students to have calculators that work so that they can be successful on the EOG. They already have many things going against them, living in a lower SES area, I don't want old technology on something so basic holding them back.
