This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are hard-working and enthusiastic about learning. They have been gathering more workbooks and materials to maximize their learning and our current set-up for keeping materials accessible and neat is languishing. A new set of mailboxes would really help students find and store their materials in an efficient way.
We have also been using small notebooks more and more for drawing out our emotions as a way of calming down, especially in the afternoons after returning to the class after lunch recess.
These items would really help spruce up the classroom as well as give students ways to safely release some tension and strong feelings in a creative way.
