My Project

The books I have chosen for this project are recommended for high school libraries by two of the leading organizations in Missouri that provide suggested reading lists for school libraries, the Missouri State Teachers Association and the Missouri Association of School Librarians.

Having interesting books to choose from for free reading can turn a non reader into a reader.

Kids will want to read if they can get matched up with a book that is actually interesting to them and then they will want another book. It is challenging as a librarian to keep enough books to meet the demand for free reading materials in my library, and it is a challenge to keep a broad variety of subjects to meet the tastes of all the students. By purchasing these books, recommended by the Missouri State Teachers Association and the Missouri Association of School Librarians, I can help meet that demand.
