Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My 5th graders devour books. My current class is the same wonderful class I had last year. We read and discussed five juicy class novels together and this year, we've already enjoyed two delicious novels. I only have one more class set of books saved for them.
This group of book lovers deserves another literary adventure this school year.
The Wild Robot would not only cover such topics as compassion and critical thinking skills but also touch upon life science and the food web. While classic books are great, new literature tends to be expensive and hard to find second-hand (which is how I accumulated the majority of my classroom library).
I know my students would savor the wild adventure of a wild robot!
