New Beginnings With the Lunar New Year

Help me give my students pots and soil along with bracelet-making tools to start the Lunar New Year off with new beginnings! They will be creating good luck bracelets and planting seedlings to welcome the new year.

My Project

With the Lunar New Year coming we want to a fresh start. My students will be making good luck bracelets to bring a little extra luck their way as jewelry was given as a sign of good luck. Although we don't have citrus fruits to give away, or plant here in Hawaii, we will be supplementing in our own fresh fruit and veggies such as beans, lettuce, and dragonfruit.

We want to ring in the Lunar New Year full of good luck and new beginnings!

With the cardstock and bead kits, for activities, I hope to teach my students not only more about Lunar New Year practices but also provide hands-on experiences to leave lasting memories for years to come.
