Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our Title I school is full of wonderful students that come from all walks of life. Many of them participate in the free and reduced-price breakfast and lunch program. Even though we have students that have a difficult time bringing the basic supplies to school, they come to school ready and eager to learn.

Having a nice sturdy backpack is a must for school.

The students at my school are expected to carry all of their books and supplies daily back and forth between school and home. Some of their backpacks are not very sturdy or big enough to hold their school items, causing them to fall apart. Purchasing a brand new backpack is very difficult for many of our families. Many of our students use their backpacks until they can no longer be used. These backpacks will go to students that need a new backpack.

Your donation will benefit several of our students. They will be happy to have a new backpack.
