Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is based on a community of learning where students feel safe and loved. The environment is organized in different areas of interest where students have the opportunity to explore and work together with a variety of materials. From the moment the students arrive until they leave the classroom, they feel it is a place where they have belongings and are heard.

My preschoolers are very active, caring, loving, and eager to discover everything that is around them.

I have the great opportunity to teach children of mixed ages 3 & 4 years old from different cultures in an Immersion Program in Spanish.

My Project

My preschoolers need a new painting easel to express their own feelings, transform their own ideas and feelings through their drawing. The easel will help them ignite imagination and innovation throw their creation.

The painting easel will give them unrestricted exploration to manipulate and experiment with different painting materials and techniques.

The opportunity to paint using different materials will help them develop fine motor skills, cognitive skills, and language skills.

Also, it will help them build their self-esteem by making their own decisions about their own work of art. Painting is a sensory experience are important because help students explore and understand the world around them.

By allowing my students to paint on the easel I will be encouraging artistic expression and facilitate learning.

Help me found the next Picasso, Monet, Da Vinci or Van Gogh.
