New and Improved Technology

My students need new technology in our classroom. Our computers are outdated and are not engaging for my students. Tablets would be great for education games and activities. Students can use these tablets throughout the day!

My Students

My classroom is made up of 20 students all coming from different cultural backgrounds and experiences. My students love coming to school and are eager to learn. We do choice centers every morning. Choice centers give my students an opportunity to explore different modes of learning and engage in play based learning with their peers.

One choice center I would love to able to update for my students is our technology or computer center.

I provide my students with my personal iPad when they choose this center. I will continue to do this but I would love to have multiple tablets for my students to work on during choice centers and throughout the day. Technology is a great way to get students motivated and keep them engaged !

My Project

We need an Amazon Fire tablet that will help students with letter identification and sounds. The tablet can also be used for reading and writing activities. Students can also play learning games to reinforce math skills, such as number identification, sorting, and one-to-one correspondence.

Tablets are engaging and motivating.

They will be used daily at choice centers, literacy centers, and math centers. They would be a great addition to our classroom environment and overall atmosphere. Students will be able to not only play educational games, but learn new skills needed to be successful in Pre-K and Kindergarten. They will also be able to reinforce current skills being taught.
