Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am asking for new items for my classroom next year! As colored pencils and glue sticks are running low in my classroom, replenishing these supplies next year will be crucial to support students’ creativity and hands-on learning. Colored pencils are essential for helping students visually express their ideas and let my students be creative. Glue sticks are equally important for facilitating hands-on projects and activities. These supplies are used at least once a week and without adequate stock, it becomes challenging to fully engage students in activities.

In addition, sensory/fidget toys, stickers, sticker paper, and file folders to create testing blinders will be key to maintaining an organized and inclusive classroom environment.

Sensory toys are particularly beneficial for students who need help with focus or stress management. . Stickers and sticker paper will provide motivation and positive reinforcement, which encourages students to stay engaged and reward their progress. I will use file folders to create and be used as testing blinders will ensure a focused and distraction-free environment during assessments. Lastly, science posters will make learning more visual and engaging, helping to solidify complex concepts for students. These materials, together, will create a more organized, motivating, and supportive classroom next year.
