My Students

I am a general education teacher in a second-grade classroom in the Bronx, New York. My students are hard-working, smart, energetic, and unique! They are a diverse group of learners with a range of needs and interests. Please help give my students the tools to help them have an awesome year.

My Project

As we begin to start our new unit of ELA on non-fiction books, I want to give my students some new books to add to their book-baggies. My students have a love for reading fiction books and I want to expand their love for reading into non-fiction books as well.

With these books, I would be able to create a leveled non-fiction library to give my students easy access to non-fiction books at their level.

Within these texts, my students will be able to identify the different non-fiction text features we have learned as well as learn about interesting and exciting topics!
