My Project

As I will be changing from a 2nd grade teacher to a kindergarten teacher this next year the materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students are needed to help with the transition. The large carpet will be placed in the front of the classroom and used as a gathering place during story time, mini-lessons, and share time. As our school implemented the UFLI program this past year, the baking pans and magnetic letters will be a great asset in helping the children learn spelling and phonics. I don't have access to a color printer except through my administration. I have to put in a request to have anything printed in color in advance. Sometimes, getting what I need can take up to two weeks. If I try to be creative with the children, this will halt whatever we are doing.

This project aims to make things more convenient so creativity can continue without interruption.

With all the children having a pan with letters, they can all spell words and learn about the sounds better.
