My students need items such as bell balls, dodgeballs, hula hoops, and feet markers so that they can develop essential skills to have a physically active lifestyle.
My students need instructional materials that are realistic looking, but also durable. We are also creating an Adaptive PE class and are in need of equipment to help in developing motor skills. Students throughout the school and within my classroom come from various types of backgrounds and social settings. This turns the school into a melting pot of ideas, beliefs, cultures, and personalities.
My students are twenty great high school boys and girls, who not only have twenty very different high school personalities, but also have a variety of disabilities.
Many of these factors make it difficult for my students to fully comprehend how different the rest of the world is and all of the opportunities out there.
My Project
My exceptional students are placed in an Adaptive PE program where they receive modified instruction and equipment. Having the cones, feet and hands will specifically show and develop the skills necessary for the students to become physically active. We can use it for many games, to explore power, force, colors, numbers etc.
Learning how to improve our muscles and to control our bodies are essential for everyday life.
The bell ball will allow us to include students with visual impairments into our games. Our students are indeed exceptional and we are making sure the sky is the limit when it comes to creating a healthy lifestyle.
