My Project

This group of second graders spent their Kindergarten year learning online virtually because of a pandemic. Coming back into the classroom after COVID-19, we see students who are struggling with fine motor skills like proper pencil grips and the inability to hold a pair of scissors. The hand exercise balls, handwriting aids, Twist n' Write, and pencil grips will help train these little hands and get them ready for encoding this year. Plus the abundance of sensory items (therapy brush, squishy stress balls, spiky ring/bracelets, calm stickers, fidget maze mat) will help with self-regulating behaviors and emotions from anxiety, trauma, stress, and disabilities. The other requested items (color copy paper, mavalus tape, bulletin board strips, magnetic sentence strips) are needed basic classroom supplies.

Lending A Helping Hands To Everyone!

Attending a STEM/STEAM school that incorporates performing arts, visual arts, coding, computer science (CS), financial literacy, and social-emotional learning (SEL) gives our students the chance to explore who they are. Our urban school receives federal funding for programs that provide free breakfast/lunch for every student, and Title I services to economically disadvantaged boys and girls. Our inclusive class serves military families, gifted/talented students, ESL/ELL students, special education students, and tech-savvy students.
