My Students
As I enter yet another year working in a public elementary school, I realize how fortunate I am to work with such amazing students. My students have been identified as having speech and language needs which impact their ability to participate in their classrooms. These students are unique in their own special ways, and it is my job to guide them towards their individualized goals.
As a member of the special education team, I work tirelessly to help my students improve their speech and language skills.
My students are likely to be identified as students with Autism, learning disabilities, or intellectual disabilities. The more students I work with, the more flexible and creative I become in my teaching style. My students keep me on my toes and motivate me to learn more about my field!
My Project
The books I have requested will help me help my students. It is always good to learn about new teaching styles and strategies, especially in special education. All students learn in different ways. Just like my students, I hope to keep learning more and making improvements every year.
Creativity in teaching is the key to success.
With exposure to new ideas and techniques, I can keep my students motivated and interested in speech and language therapy. With more and more research in Autism and speech/language delays and disorders, it is important for us professionals to be current and creative in our therapy approach. These books will surely help me do just that!
