This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Some students are into sports; others are into the arts. But what about our nerdy students who love to play games? Our students are avid gamers. They love to discuss their shared interests in games, share their gaming strategies, and boast about their achievements.
Gaming allows all students an access point to a shared experience, regardless of their academic or physical abilities.
We want to give our students a safe space to competitively play video games, and bond over their love of technology and gaming. This project will include the Nintendo Switch and a variety of games that can be played on the Switch. This club will meet after school and will reach students from a variety of grade levels and ability levels.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
