Neon Headphones

My Students

I am the librarian at a PreK- 8th grade elementary school in a small town in Maine. Besides having library classes for PreK-4, I teach keyboarding for grades 2-6.

The students enjoy coming to keyboarding for 40 minutes a week.

Most of our students are from low-income families and are reduced or free lunch. For most of these students, school is the only place they have access to a laptop. They enjoy getting to learn new typing programs.

My Project

My keyboarding students in grades 2-6 need nice headphones, that are easy to keep sanitary. Headphones are used so that they can hear to keyboarding program without having all the computers being heard at the same time.

The current headphones are more for PreK-1, and they do not fit the older students comfortably.

Tried earbuds with names on them in the past, but they got put in draws and are all tangled.

If they had nice headphones, it would make keyboarding classes a quieter learning environment for all the students. They would also be used for students using the library during study hall times.
