This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Thank you for taking the time to read why students need a rug. The larger rug is for when I am teaching whole group and the students sit on the floor. It helps with classroom management as they students have a clear place to sit and not roaming around. The larger rug helps students also move throughout the day and not stay in their desks all day. The smaller rug will be used for the reading nook area. This will create a special place the students will be comfortable as they practice their reading independently.

Having multiple rugs in the classroom creates a environment of comfort.

It creates a atmosphere that promotes calming atmosphere and kids really enjoy having a special place to sit for their activities. Either that be sitting for whole group, reading during independent reading and fun.
