Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Ironically enough, there is no cowbell within this project. I want to teach my students the expansive world of percussion, and would like to introduce these instruments to my classroom. Ranging from Latin, to African, to Indigenous, these instruments will accompany our concert band music we will be performing.
The world of percussion is foreign to my students.
They do not know a lot about percussion due to our scarce percussion section. These instruments, including a rainstick, slapstick, and more, will open and expand the possibilities available to my students. Help broaden my students' horizons by providing them with these various percussion instruments.
