Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
How can you create something without the proper tools? My students need necessities such as staplers, tape dispensers, a pencil sharpener, and dry erase markers to create new learning.
In September, I will have 25 new third grade students in my classroom, ready and eager to learn.
We are in an urban school district with 100% of students receiving free breakfast and lunch. Most of my students are learning English as their second language and are from countries like El Salvador, Columbia, and Peru.
My Project
Our classroom will be a doing classroom. We will be using these tools to create learning. Students will use dry erase markers to create answers on white boards so that all students will have a voice. Besides, using dry erase markers is just fun! My students will use staplers, tape dispensers, and a pencil sharpener for daily project-based learning.
My students need these necessities to create and participate in learning.
It's more fun to be involved than to be passively sitting and listening. Students need to do and these tools will help them create learning.
