This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Third grade is the best year in elementary school! My third grade teacher bias notwithstanding, there are so many new and fun experiences for these students--academically, socially, and physically.

It's my students' first year on the "big" playground and there are so many new games and skills for them to learn.

Each week, we rotate through specific play areas. Since many of these areas focus on skills that they will need for future years, it's important that they learn and practice them now. Juggling scarves and bean bags will help them improve their hand-eye coordination while the Chinese jump ropes will help them develop their gross motor skills. The mesh bags and nails will help keep all of the items organized in our classroom.
