This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help my students start first grade with the supplies they need to succeed! I am requesting 24 quality headphones that are used daily for all subjects. Students need the headphones to concentrate on Dreambox Math, Lexia Core 5 Reading program, Myon book program, and for taking Accelerated Reader comprehension quizzes. Without these headphones the classroom would be too noisy for students to focus on their online programs. Headphones are a necessity!

I also requested a class set of colored pencils by Crayola.

Our old colored pencils are too short to sharpen anymore after years of use. The colored pencils help us do quick art projects to accompany a writing project. Students enjoy using the colored pencils instead of crayons that we use every day.

The crayons passed out at the beginning of the school year must last several months. My 6 year old students are learning to keep their desks organized, clean, and tidy. The 32 plastic crayon boxes hold 24 crayons which we give students at the beginning of the year. The cardboard box comes apart easily, which is one reason crayons get lost in the desk, left on the floor, or broken. To prevent this from happening, the plastic crayon boxes will keep the crayons organized and safe.
