Help me give my students scientific calculator to do their physics and chemistry math problem and an iPad to do online interactive simulation.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Hossen's classroom raised $535
This project is fully funded
My Students
My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!
Many students in my classroom come in saying they have difficulty completing practice assignments at home because of lack of supplies and resources.
Our school is nestled in downtown Houston and many student situation so they need help
Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!
My Project
I am science teacher in the one and only all-girls school in Houston area and teach Pre-AP Physics and Pre-AP Chemistry and almost every student come from low/very low-income family. So, it is hard for them to get extra school supply beside food and basic necessities. My school is a small school, so fund is very limited, and I am requesting your help to get me some calculators and iPad so we can do great things in Physics and Chemistry class and do online interactive science simulations.
In Chemistry when the students calculate atom numbers like this 6.023×10^23 ×2.34×10^-13 very often they get tired or lost their spirit in math and I do not have enough calculator to help them in my class and it consume a lot of instructional time.
In physics when it comes to gravitation/calculation of electric charge they really need a calculator so they can solve problem without having any extra difficulties. Now a days there are lot of online interactive simulation is available and with your help my students would be able to do in the class.
I know Big Heart is out there and your help will help us to do great thing for our great community.
