My Students

My students range from budding to dedicated advanced artists. They want to learn and experience new things. Painting is something they all look forward to and want to learn more of. We have several students win awards at county and regional levels in competitions. My students love to learn and really need to keep themselves and their work safe from everything that goes on in a bustling art studio. They look forward to my room getting more organized and this drying rack is the only thing we really need this App year to get the program going in the right direction.

My Project

Students will be able to neatly store wet paintings as they scurry to their next class. The current solution, which is a low-sitting, broken, and hard to use metal rack, is a dangerous tripping hazard and we need something safer.

With a growing art program, our incoming students are planning on drawing, painting, and printmaking during their first year class.

With nearly 100 possible seats for 2D Art we NEED drying space. My advanced classes will also be utilizing the drying rack each period of the day. It’s something that is a great use and will bring ease and safety to our art studio.

This drying rack will be staying put and getting used for years and years to come.
