This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My ninth-grade Health Science and Math students are an energetic group of teens who love to socialize and have fun.

They come from a tough and gritty neighborhood in Northern California.

Our student body is a melting pot of cultures: African-American, Asian, Filipino, and Latino. Many of our students live in poverty and have extremely difficult living situations.

Please contribute to our classroom project to help these students receive the very best education possible! They deserve it.

As we return to the classroom from Winter Break, we must prepare ourselves for the first big storm of the New Year, protect ourselves from the COVID virus, and make ready effective Zoom tools in the event of necessary remote learning. Providing our students with a clean environment in which to learn, tissue for the Winter sniffles, and preparing for potential Zoom instruction is essential for seamless learning. The Winter months prohibit us from leaving windows and doors open for cross ventilation. Students are expected to work with one another in close proximity. We want our students to thrive by working harmoniously with one another, but we also want to avoid the spread of unwanted germs. Help us to avoid absenteeism, maintain a healthy classroom, and keep students in the classroom and learning. A clean work environment will help students be healthier and miss less school! These cleaning supplies and tissues will help students spread their knowledge and love of learning, and not unwanted germs. The wireless headphones and mouse will help us be prepared for Zoom instruction in the event of school closures caused by extreme weather or COVID. Your contribution to our classroom will help increase student attendance and ensure that we have happy, healthy, and respected learners in our classroom.
