This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every year I receive a different group of students. This year I have a fun, energetic, and eager group of students that are ready to learn. They are all very different in their own unique way. Everyone brings their own fun personality to our classroom.

The students in my district come from all socioeconomic backgrounds.

All students are treated the same in my class. They all are respected and cared for and are taught according to their needs. Even though some students are not up to grade level, they are taught the Common Core State Standards and the expectations are the same for everyone.

My Project

The school supplies that I am asking for my students are items that we use every day. Pencils don't last very long and they are materials that we use every single day. After the nice pencils are gone, it's a trip to the Dollar Tree Store to buy enough pencils to last us through the year.

Another important item that we use on a daily basis is dry erase markers.

We use dry erase markers to solve Math problems and to explain our mathematical thinking. They are a very important tool that we use every day and students rely on them during class.
