it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students attend a Title I school in a low economic area. Our classroom is filled with varying abilities and learning styles. 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. For some, those are the only meals they can rely on. Most families are blended families and some students only have one parent.
Despite the many challenges that they face, my students are always ready to learn and eager to try new things.
I strive to provide them with rich experiences because they are resilient learners that love school.
My Project
My students will use these supplies in all subject areas every single day! I'm requesting table bins for their table to add their writing tools, pens to edit and revise their drafts in writing, word wall list to use as a reference for spelling and other basic supplies to help the classroom run smoothly and other supplies that is necessary for our classroom. These supplies will be used by and assist 29 students. It is important that teachers have basic supplies to conduct the lesson for students to benefit from the delivery of instruction. Teachers are faced with the daily challenge to motivate students as well as to deliver appealing instruction to capture their attention. Our goal is to create a classroom where students are actively engaged and provide a classroom environment that offers plenty of opportunities for learning. Students will also have access to these material that will introduce or reinforce concepts learned.
