My Students

My students are learning to be socially aware and compassionate with themselves and others. We focus on congratulating our classmates and ourselves for jobs well done academically and emotionally. We also recognize that we make mistakes and the importance of remedying them in a positive light. I love how my students complement one other and see themselves as a unit during these difficult times of social isolation and change. They are working hard to catch up while still having fun and being supportive. They are eager to learn and always write me notes about how much they love school. Even though this year is scary; they are a beacon of light.

My Project

Students will really be able to grasp the core concepts that they are having difficulty with.

In science class we can implement our knowledge about habitats and plants in general with the various growing kits I have chosen, and they can learn how they can contribute to waste elimination with the easy view compost.

I can't wait to teach them about how money works, and I know that the cash register will really pique their interest and help them stay on track. For instance, for black history month, we have already made a collage exemplifying black power through economics.
