Our school is a diverse school that strives to build a positive culture where every student feels loved and valued. We are a Title I school, and our students all receive free or reduced-price lunch. A high percentage of our students are economically disadvantaged.
Technologies that connect one another to the learning process has never been more crucial.
Our school utilizes technology to build fluency and assess information.
We are in the process of examining how to support students with their academic and behavioral needs in this time of social distancing.
This time of distance learning in the midst of a pandemic has created new emotional needs for our students and teachers. We are currently looking at various delivery models of emotional, social, and academic supports.
NearPod is a program that allows teachers to create virtually interactive lessons that engage the students with the learning process. Through Nearpod I will be able to design lessons that are standards based and promote engagement to authentic learning experiences. With Nearpod I will bring standards based learning to my student in a manner that connects us all, even though we are learning virtually, I will utilize Nearpod to promote conversations about the shared learning experience which will help to connect us during these disconnecting times. With Nearpods we will connect with the learning experience and with each other as well.
