My Project

As an instructor teaching Leadership Dynamics at a Title I alternative school, I often find that many of my students need significant assistance with fundamental life skills and coping strategies to enhance their educational journey.

I am continuously exploring innovative ways to support my students in acquiring life skills and coping mechanisms in a more captivating manner.

Obtaining Scholastic magazines would provide my students with a variety of physical and digital educational materials to keep them actively engaged. These magazines offer me the flexibility to organize instructional sessions for the whole class as well as for small groups, catering to students as they develop into proficient readers and critical thinkers.

Access to Scholastic magazines online would further benefit us by enabling continuous learning from any location.

The magazine offers my teenage students access to up-to-date information on health, life skills, and social-emotional learning (SEL). It assists students in effectively navigating real-world challenges such as digital literacy, goal setting, resilience, and nutrition, among others. With its engaging style and impactful personal stories, Choices Scholastic magazine serves as an exceptional resource to support students in maintaining their well-being, focus, and aspirations for the future. Scholastic proves to be an invaluable tool that brings an element of excitement to the learning process.

The teenage years are filled with excitement and constant changes. New obstacles and responsibilities arise frequently, alongside the various transformations that occur in your body. The Life Skills for Teens Book is designed to help students navigate adult challenges before feeling overwhelmed, guiding them through these experiences as they transition into adulthood.

Although the education of all students is very important, I know that many of my students can use the extra support especially those Special Education students that are in our class with a co-teacher.
