In this project I am requesting cups, some classroom decor and a collection of books spanning all different locations and people who have survived against all odds. The purpose is to inspire my readers to become more involved with nonfiction allowing them to see the lives and locales of our incredible world and humans.
Allowing the students to read true stories of people who have survived natural disasters and persevered allows them to put their lives into perspective.
These materials will aid in the class by offering differing views and ideas which will set the students up for excellent reading, writing, and discussion!
