My Students
We are a small public school in the largest school district in the nation. My second graders are curious, inquisitive, and full of energy! They came to school ready to learn each day. Now, they diligently attend my online teacher-led Zoom lessons every day with their materials in hand.
Community support will play a vital part in enriching our educational program at home.
I am amazed by my students' passion, curiosity, willingness to learn, thirst for knowledge, and perseverance. I encourage my students to be educated and to be the best people they can be for our world. Let's give them the tools to be lifelong learners!
My Project
There are few pleasures more wonderful than being able to hold a book in your hands. In the coming school year, whether my students will be distance learning or in an actual classroom, I want them to be able to own the book and annotate their own copy of How to Clean a Hippopotamus as we read it together!
We will explore nonfiction high-interest text together and immerse ourselves in examples of how animals rely on each other in nature.
My hope is that we come to understand that balance and harmony in nature is vital to all life on earth.
