My Project
Look around at nature! Stop and smell the flowers! But wait, what if you have a limited amount of green space in your community?
Please help me give my students the materials needed to grow herbs and flowers so we can plant them outside our school in our planter boxes to beautify the neighborhood while learning hands on skills.
Students will be able to earn service learning hours for their participation in this project.
The materials for the rock painting will be used to paint rocks and assemble a colorful, positive rock garden around the tree outside our school in the community. The rock garden is a social-emotional learning activity, a hands-on activity and a way to send positive messages to other students and the community as a whole when they read the messages on the rocks.
