The use of our classroom carpet has been nonexistent during the pandemic. COVID-19 has impacted students' abilities to come to this gathering space, affecting social skills and learning engagement. Now that we are back in our learning spaces, I'm so excited to get some use out of our carpet space again! My students spend a great deal of time on our carpet. However our current classroom carpet is old and uninviting. I would love your help in getting this exciting, nurturing nature inspired carpet to boost morale in the classroom, and make kids excited to be at the carpet for small group and whole class activities.
Additional resources, such as inviting board borders, will give our classroom the extra boost of excitement that it needs to make school a warm and inviting place again.
Kiddos will be able to easily access manipulatives through the use of clear bins, ending the guessing game of, "What's in here?" I'm also excited to be able to clearly see what's inside of storage containers from afar.
Finally, our students have been engaged with learning about magnets for years. We love the inquiry that comes with our magnet unit, and the use of magna tiles would create another inviting center for students to discover, play, and learn. I would love to have another activity for students to be engaged with!
