My Project

I teach the most amazing and unique third graders around! My classroom is very diverse, including English Language Learners, special education students, and students receiving speech, language, or behavioral support. What unites us as a community is that each child comes to school with a deep desire to create, solve problems, and learn each day.

Every year after our students take the state tests, I like to give them fun lessons on life cycles, nature, and our environment.

They deserve a fun break after all the hard work they've put in all year! I also like to teach them how to respect planet Earth and all the living things that make our planet beautiful!

I have chosen to show my students the life cycle of a darkling beetle and of a butterfly! I have done these projects in the past, and my students love them! It is so much fun to learn about nature and how every living part of Earth works together! I have also chosen to show my students how amazing ants are! I have never done this project before and I am super excited for them to watch these amazing creatures work!
