My Project

My eager crew of first graders is always learning and growing. I love seeing their excited smiles every morning. Children at six and seven years of age are capable of soaking in knowledge, creating detailed projects, solving puzzling math problems, and developing strong literacy skills that will walk with them through their lives.

My students are at the perfect age to become addicted to reading!

Many of my students started the school year reading only a few words. As they learned decoding and comprehension skills, they became more and more excited about reading books on their own.

Not only are my students hungry for more books, they are also hungry for knowledge about nature and animals. They almost always reach for books about animals first. The books we have are well loved and have been read hundreds and even thousands of times.

I can't wait to see the excitement on their faces when they see their new books.

Ms. Wilder will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by August 28.
