This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students in 5th grade begin to explore the rich history of the Native American Indians throughout the continental United States. They learn about the different cultural regions, and research the food, resources, shelters, and beliefs of the various tribes.

With this project, students will work in teams to research, design, and build dioramas of Native American Indian villages that display their shelters and homes.

They will be using the popsicle sticks and glue guns to easily construct their models. They will be able to categorize their thinking by including captions and evidence for their models. A final gallery walk will celebrate their learning.
