My Project

Getting more Native American books in my 3rd-grade classroom library is important for many reasons. The Minnesota Reading requirementents include teaching about the Native American culture. I have had a hard time doing this because my classroom is lacking in books that represent Native American people.

This project will help promote cultural diversity and inclusivity, allowing students to learn about different perspectives and traditions from a young age.

These books can also help Native American students feel seen and valued in their educational environment, giving them a sense of belonging and pride in their heritage.

This opportunity will help enrich students' overall learning experience, broaden their understanding of the world, and encourage empathy and respect for all cultures. By supporting this project, you can contribute to creating a more inclusive and knowledgeable generation.
