Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

National Hispanic Heritage Month is important to our school. To support our vision, we have an art contest. This year's focus is on the heroes of the Mexican War for Independence (1810-1821).

Students will research their topics and create an artwork to reflect what they found.

180 poster boards and 180 marker sets are necessary to allow as many students as possible to create artwork for National Hispanic Heritage month.

The three winners of the contest will have their artwork framed in the 22 x 28" frames that are requested. Their art will be displayed at our District Office. The next top 20 will be displayed (without a frame) around the school.

National Hispanic Heritage Month continues through October 15, 2024. The students need their supplies by September 13, 2024. Thank you for helping us to continue to embrace our cultural heritage.
