My Students

I have some of the most loving, creative, kind, hardworking students. I am an ESL teacher working with students who are bilingual on a campus with students that are classified as coming from low socioeconomic homes. On my campus, 97% of our students receive free or reduced price lunch.

My students inspire me every day.

Its amazing to see their transformation from the shy, timid new student to the fearless, hardworking, silly students they grow into. I feel like sometimes my students are so quiet that their amazingness gets overlooked or others may not realize they are struggling to learn the lesson. They are hard workers that often do not get recognized enough. They are such good kids and such good role models to others on campus. My kids are simply amazing and I would love to give them a safe space that they can read, learn, grow, and play with their friends.

My Project

My students love to learn about the world around them! These books will be used during independent reading time to help discover new things and learn more about things they are interested in.

I envision these books creating a spark that could start a lifelong love!

As their teacher I am so excited to nurture that interest and expand on it. I am prepared to delve deeper into any subject my students find interesting in these books. I just know all of my students will find something to love in this set of nonfiction books.
