My Students

My students are from varied backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, ethnicities, and experiences. I have students from both ends of a wide spectrum of ability, strengths and weaknesses. I strive to offer a variety of activities to engage students of all levels, interests, and abilities. The materials we receive will help me to continue to motivate and invigorate my students' learning.

The students at my school are the best and never cease to surprise me with how hard they work.

I am always proud when I get to tell someone where I work because they know we are the best school with the best kids!

My Project

Access to high quality literature is vital to building strong readers, developing vocabulary and language skills, and inspiring creativity and imagination. Adding recent nationally awarded books to our library will help augment the quality and relevance of our offerings for our students.

National awards books such as Caldecott, Newberry, and Coretta Scott King winners offer a diversity of subjects, perspectives, and cultures for our students to experience.

Through these additions to our collection, students will be able to find books that they can relate to as well as books that show them people and places that they've never seen or imagined. This will help deepen their understanding of both themselves and the world around them.
