Help me give my students a chance to participate in the Massachusetts Children's Book Award! Students in the upper grades at Nathan Hale Elementary love being a part of MCBA, but we need more books!

My Project

The Massachusetts Children's Book Award Program is an incentive for students in grades 4-6, in both school and public libraries. Students read at least 5 books on the list of 25 (comprised of fiction, non fiction, prose and graphic novels) then vote on their favorite.

Nathan Hale Elementary, in Roxbury, MA, is one of the only Boston Public Schools to participate in the program.

While our library has several of the books on this year's list, it is essential to have all 25 titles, ideally more than one copy of each. Students began reading last spring, and already started to ask me on the first day of school about what to read next!
