This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My class is made up of curious minds who enjoy using tools to solve problems. In math, students partake in various activities involving tools to help them add and subtract.
The nameplates/holders not only personalize students’ desks, but add math tools to support learning.
The nameplates help students count 1 - 120, identify letters/letter sounds, and more!
The students current nameplates have been worn and torn down. Many are ripped, making it hard to use the 120 chart. The write and wipe number lines will be helpful while actively doing math. Students can move around the classroom solving math problems involving add/subtract using the number lines. Each item will greatly benefit my students learning experience!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
