Name That Book Inspire Everyday Reading.

My students need a classroom library of books, for their book club. This book club called, "Name That Book" releases new titles every year.

My Students

Our classes contain students that come from well-to-do families all the way to those who struggle to make ends meet. We embrace all of our students because of what they bring to the table, not in spite of it. Our boys and girls are Hispanic, white, African American, Asian and Native American. Our students are a diverse group, and we like it that way!

This past year, 2 of our 4th grade students broke all school records for the number of points earned on the "Accelerated Reader" site.

We want to offer every student the opportunity to read continuously.

My Project

Our students depend on us for their reading materials. We have students who speak and read Spanish in their home, and are desperate for English books. We strive to fulfill that need as educators. Our 4th and 5th graders participate in the district wide contest," Name That Book."

Without the materials, our school cannot compete.

This would be a dreadful disappointment to those students who stay after school every week participating for the event. Students look forward to this event all year long. Reading is a students window to the world, and they deserve an opportunity to explore with these books.
