Our students depend on us for their reading materials. We have students who speak and read Spanish in their home, and are desperate for English books. We strive to fulfill that need as educators. Our 4th and 5th graders participate in the district wide contest," Name That Book." Without the materials, our school cannot compete. This would be a dreadful disappointment to those students who stay after school every week participating for the event. Students look forward to this event all year long. Reading is a students window to the world, and they deserve an opportunity to explore with these books.
