This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year I have noticed many of my students are into cosmetology. They have a desire to do nails and makeup. They have approached me to create an after school club, so that they can practice doing nails. I have some students who already do some beauty related jobs, such as eye lashes, barbers, and eyebrows. Other students have seen the potential in getting an income for when they start college doing something they enjoy.

We don't have the equipment necessary.

Our school is a continuation school and don't have the time during the school day so that means we don't have a budget for materials. Some material we the staff have donated and the students also bring their own, but some of them don't have the means to bring their own, and for that reason I am asking for cosmetic products and organizers for their after school club.
