My Project
I am a lucky teacher! For the past 37 years, I have spent my days with fabulous, eager, inquisitive first graders. Watching them grow and learn is truly a privilege.
We are a school of diverse, amazing learners.
Our students speak over 25 different languages and come from places all around the world. They are smart, silly, and compassionate! Our staff is committed to providing the best experience we can for our young learners. We want each of them to know that they are important!
Kids love science! Teachers see it year after year. Students' eyes light up when they see science on the daily schedule. I am so excited for this project because it will allow us to continue bringing high quality, hands-on science lessons to all of the students in my elementary school. The teachers in our K-6 classroom have been using Mystery Science throughout this school year.
I'd love to bring this program back to our school for next year, but, this is an expense that our school simply can not afford. Without your help, we'll need to let this amazing program go.
Every kid loves science and every teacher loves finding quality materials that make bringing science into the classroom easier. These lessons directly match the Next Generation Science Standards that we are teaching and they allow for students to work cooperatively to solve the investigations. Students are asked to incorporate reading, writing, math and science as they problem solve their way through these fun activities.
