My Project

Adding A Good Girl's Guide to Murder and Truly Devious to our 6th-grade classroom library would introduce students to the exciting world of mystery and thriller stories. These books encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and deductive reasoning as readers follow the protagonists through intricate investigations. Engaging with complex mysteries can sharpen analytical skills and inspire curiosity, making learning feel like a thrilling adventure.

Beyond their gripping plots, these novels feature smart, determined protagonists who serve as excellent role models for young readers.

Pip from A Good Girl's Guide to Murder and Stevie from Truly Devious demonstrate perseverance, independence, and a passion for uncovering the truth. Their stories show the importance of questioning assumptions and seeking justice, instilling valuable lessons in integrity and resilience.

In addition to the intellectual and moral benefits, these books will make reading enjoyable for students who love suspenseful, fast-paced stories. Mystery and thriller genres captivate young minds, keeping them engaged and eager to turn the page. A well-rounded classroom library should include books that excite and challenge students, and these two novels will certainly spark enthusiasm for reading.
