This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have big hearts, a wonderful sense of humor and a sense of wanting to be like any other peer their age. They love learning, especially if it is a hands-on activity. We tend to overlook things that come natural to us, but for my students the simplest things can be a struggle in their every day life for example socializing, communicating, and using gross and fine motor skills. My students tend to stay to themselves, their interaction with their peers is minimal at best but they try their best. They struggle with expressing their wants, needs, communication and socialization between peers and adults. A gaming system will benefit my students by encouraging them to interact with peers, as well as developing their fine and gross motor skills.
