My students need to enter into a room that inspires them. I am creating a superhero theme for them in order to motivate them to exceed all academic and behavior expectations!
My students are hungry for knowledge and eager to learn. However, nearly all of my students are from low-income households. I work for an inner city school district which is the poorest and one of the most violent cities in the state of New Jersey. I teach in an in- class resource room. I teach students with and without IEPs. My students face many obstacles and deserve the same opportunities as students in any other district. I would like to create a classroom that will inspire learning.
My Project
My students require frequent rewards and incentives to keep them motivated. The room decor is important.
My students deserve an atmosphere that is comfortable and engaging.
The students loved the movies Black Panther and Advengers. The large sized cut outs and room decor will create an atmosphere that will inspire students to come to school every day.
A positive atmosphere will also serve as a constant reminder to not only meet but to exceed expectations in all areas. That's what being a superhero is all about! This project consists of all the things we need to make our classroom great such as academic and inspirational posters, border for our boards, ribbon, inspirational character cut outs and all the little decorative touches that make a classroom a home. We need new posters, and motivational items to make our classroom a one of a kind room! I love decorating my classroom just like I do my own home. With your support, I will be able to create the kind of learning environment I've always dreamed of. Because of you, I will be motivated to create exciting educational experiences right here in my classroom. Your support makes me feel good about my community and helping my students achieve.
