My Students
The students I serve are from the side of Chicago which is considered a poverty-stricken area. Students look for our school to provide resources for social-emotional learning and mental health to help them heal from the trauma and the changes we are facing this school year. However, our school is one place where they feel safe and to know that they can express themselves.
My students are excited to about learning and improving their study skills.
They are thriving as they set goals for this school year as well. These books will help them improve their grades and organization skills as they navigate middle school.
My Project
These materials will help my students with time management, homework, schedules, prioritizing, grades, note-taking, tests, goal setting and most of all learning. I'm exciting that they will be able to acquire the self-management skills that will lead future success as students. It's always my goal to ensure that my students are capable of being successful students in a changing world that we are living in as we continue to figure out our new normal. My students will benefit from these materials because they have lost some of the structure while learning remotely.
